Nga Taonga a Hine-te-iwa-iwa

Reflections I by Todd Couper

Nga Taonga a Hine-te-iwa-iwa

Nga Taonga a Hine-te-iwa-iwa translates as 'Treasures of the goddess of crafts'.

The trust members consulted with Miria Simpson, a Maori language expert and a member of the Maori Language Commission, to obtain a name for the resource centre.

For non-Maori speakers and international connections the centre also has an English name 'A Treasury of New Zealand Craft Resources'.
