CLASSIFICATION
Emergent Artists are those who have been practising for less than 5 years.
Waitakere Artists must reside within Waitakere City.
Emergent and Waitakere Artists can also be considered for any other award category.

CONDITIONS
1. Work entered for this award must not have been exhibited anywhere previously.
2. All works are to be ceramic (fired clay). Mixed media is permitted provided the ceramic proportion is significant.
3. Artists may submit one or two single works or one installation.
4. All works must have been executed after October 2002 and be the sole original work of the artist.
5. Entry by 35 mm colour transparency. Two or three different views of each work entered can be submitted.
6. The exhibition will be selected from submitted colour transparencies.
7. Awards will be chosen from the actual works by the sole international judge whose decision will be final.
8. All works shall be for sale.
9. A catalogue of the exhibition will be produced.

EXHIBITION
The exhibition will be pre-selected and judged by an invited overseas judge and will run from 17 October 2003 until
7 December 2003. Awards will be announced by the Judge at the Gala Opening on 16 October 2003.

KEY DATES

Acceptances notified by 17 September 2003
Works for judging to be received by 26 September 2003
