Exhibtion - Lace Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
There will be an invited exhibtion of work from Lace Groups from throughout NZ at the Rotorua Museum from 6 April to 24th June 2001.
Display of Works
There will be a display of the entries in this years competition "Magnificent Mounted Insertions" at the Race Course. Entry forms and details available from the
secretary, Rosalind Stewart.

Criteria for membership
Individual lace makers or an interest in lace.
Membership fee
$25 New Zealand
$35 for overseas memberships
Family Membership fee
Couples: -150% of a single subscription, one magazine and two votes
Adult and Child: -A single subscription plus 10% for each child, one magazine and one vote.
Couple and Children: -150% of subscription plus 10% for each child, one magazine and two votes.
NB: All members in these categories to live at one address and children to be under sixteen years of age.

"THE LACEMAKER" quarterly information on overseas tutors coming and attendance at workshops.

THE LACEMAKER, quarterly journal.
Development and history of the national body
Started 1982 asking lacemakers if they were interested in forming a National network. 25 responded to a letter from Pauline Pease.
Have had 2 national exhibitions in 1984 and 1992 as well as numerous workshops taken by overseas and local tutors. There is an AGM every year with workshops in diffferent kinds of lace.
Number of executive meetings and venue
4 per year wherever the committee is based.
Organisation Focus
The New Zealand Lace Society promotes the making, design and interest in lace by publishing a quarterly journal and encouraging lace makers to make contact with others to the benefit of our craft. Many of our members meet weekly or monthly in different parts of New Zealand.
Mission Statement
Our aim is to promote the art of lace making by helping lacemakers and those interested in lace to make contact.
Exhibitions
Every year a differnt topic is chosen as a competition as our AGM which is judged by experienced lace makers. Many areas have displays and working demonstrations during the year.
