Details of regional associations
The society operates through 15 regions throughout New Zealand. Each area conducts its own affairs and the National Society is the co-ordinating body.
Development and history of the national body
The society was formed 30 years ago. It supports and encourages all its members working with fibre in all forms and at all levels.
Number of executive meetings and venue
2 per year - one held at the Creative Fibre Festival Venue, the other usually in Wellington.
Organisation Focus
Creative Fibre - New Zealand Spinning, Weaving and Woolcrafts Society Inc is the New Zealand organisation for all fibre crafts. It brings together spinners, weavers, knitters, dyers, flax workers, felters, crochet workers and all other people involved in the use of fibre.

The society aims to foster interest in, develop and promote all fibre craft.
