Development and history of the national body
The steering committee was set up at the Wellington National Symposium in May 1993. The first committee was elected in 1994. At the general meeting in Wellington the vote was to have membership on an individual basis only. A newsletter was started by the steering committee and a survey was taken of all those who had expressed an interest by sending in their names and addresses. Almost all the requested items have been attained now and are ongoing. Another survey is planned to garner information for future development.

Number of executive meetings and venue
Four per year, venue depends on committee members' locations. The most central place is chosen.
