Conference & Exhibitions
Every two years a Guild hosts the Biennial General Meeting and Conference. There are four national exhibitions for the public to view, followed by a week of workshops. The exhibitions include an Open Section and a Young Embroiderers' Section, which non-Association members may enter. The Members and Miniatures Sections are only for Association members. An overseas tutor is invited by the Association to attend the Conference and hold workshops throughout New Zealand. In the year between Conference a National Exhibition, by invited embroiderers, is held to keep embroidery to the fore. An annual Travelling Exhibition, forwarded to all New Zealand Guilds, is open to Association members.
Exhibitions
A national exhibition is held every two years in the city that hosts the BGM. Regional Exhibitions are held in the in between year. Almost every guild has either an exhibition or display every year in the venue of their choice. These are all advertised in 'Threads' 'Eyelets' and guild newsletters.
