The Home Fire
14th October to 18th February
The Home Fire puts watercolours, ceramics and photography next to set design for television, the latest London fashion and knitted rock stars to celebrate the creativity of the Hutt Valley. The exhibition includes the work of nearly 200 creative individuals - painters, designers, film-makers, furniture makers and craftspeople.
19th August to 12th November
A quirky exhibition of 57 pieces of jewellery by Pauline Bern, the winner of the Dowse's Thomas Foundation Jewellery Award for jewellery. Pauline says that her work explores the complex relationship contemporary women have with their kitchens.
2nd September to 10th December
Malcolm Harrison's fabulous family tree of 35 dolls comes out of the Dowse collection to look at the visitors.

Dress up your means of transport for Hutt Valley's 'driveable arts' event. Get creative and you could win great prizes. Cars, scooters, skateboards, bikes - if it has wheels you can dress it up and enter it.
