National Diploma in Craft Design Programme Description The National Diploma in Craft Design is a full-time four year programme with several possible points of entry. The basis of the programme is the study of Drawing and Design, both 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional at each level. Experience in applying these fundamentals to a wide range of media becomes steadily more focussed with each successive year. By third and fourth year students have selected one or two from the many they have explored, to take to a professional level. A central theme of art studies at Whitireia is the ORIGINS programme which offers students an opportunity to explore the history, art and language of their own lineage and that of others.
