This is Not an Authentic Issue
The work is a re-construction of six individual pieces from an exhibition entitled "Transplanted Culture'. The typographical passages refer to processes of ownership, naming and framing. A process that is contested by indigenous people who seek control of their narratives and motifs. The trowel as a tool for architecture, archeology or culinary enterprise is presented as a metaphor for construction and de-construction.
