Hunted / Hunter Series - Hunting Fish
A central process of all living things is to acquire food. Many organisms both hunt and are themselves hunted, which shapes both their behaviour and morphology. This piece of work refers to this hunted/hunter relationship.

Pacific Necklace
In this design I have been exploring the play of light and colour from the natural materials.
This necklace has been made from paua and coconut shells. Each piece has been cut so that it will lock into a twin giving a winged angle to each side. This means that the shape catches light from every direction and draws the edge into the coloured light being reflected by the shell. The piece is completed with the interlocking shell being woven together with a nylon cord.

Night Voyages
This work comes from the series exhibited as 'Parallel Crossings' in Canberra 1995, exploring themes of journeys, mapping, and the search for social and cultural identity.
It is warp dyed and painted, in double-cloth pick up weave using cotton and linen threads. It hangs slightly out from the wall, on an acrylic rod and velcro, without a frame.
Marilynn Webb
Protection Work - Green Willow Water Ida Valley
The woodcuts are from a suite of ongoing works called 'Being in the Maniototo'. Land and place drive these works and are also the metaphor for her own self exploration and development. The imprint of a woodcut on soft paper encapsulates the embodiment of a special place and physically locks it into the paper.
