'Craft Scene' Studio 7
There are 7 studios in the Chemistry building at the Arts Centre of Christchurch.
They were built in 1998 as a working craft studio complex, in which artists and craftspeople have their own individual working space, which is open for the public to watch the tenants working.
'Craft Scene" Studio 7 has been created as a space for visiting artists/craftspeople, so that visiors from outside Christchurch or overseas can have space to work at reasonable cost.
There are 6 permanent tenants, but the 7th studio has been kept free, so that anyone wishing to use it can apply to the committee for the space. The term is 2 weeks to 6 months - although this is flexible.
It is a wonderful space to work in, and we would like to be able to let people know it is available.
